A prototype of mobile ecommerce, this information architecture demonstrated how mobile devices can become a purchasing vehicle while greatly enhancing the information available to the customer.

Jennifer has brought some friends out to dinner and is embarrased when the waiter returns her credit card. The charge was declined because she reached her credit limit, and she doesn't have enough cash to cover the bill.

Staring at the card in disbelief, she notices the Citi Mobile Services phone number on the card. Dialing the number, the recorded message allows her to connect to the screen-based menu system so she can take control.

The service immediately displays the status of her account. The $157.00 dinner will put her over the credit card limit. The service knows she is over her normal spending threshold and offers her the choice of transfering money from her checking account to pay down the credit card balance. She accepts this offer and the service updates her credit card balance instantly. With a self-satisfied smile, Jennifer hands the card back to the waiter to pay for dinner.
